You're standing at Lye Cross, in Lye near Stourbridge. This is where the actor Cedric Hardwicke lived as a child, and the artwork in front of you is his memorial. It's shaped like a giant strip of film. Cut into its metal panels are scenes from some of his best-known roles, including The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Things to Come and The Ghost of Frankenstein. The panels are lit up. Artist Tim Tolkien made it for Dudley council, and it was unveiled in November 2005.
