Norman-Swabian Castle of Bari

You're standing at the Norman-Swabian Castle, on the western edge of Bari's old town, the San Nicola quarter. Locals simply call it u Castidde. Start by looking at the moat. It runs along three sides of the castle. The north side once bordered the Adriatic Sea directly. So there was only one way in: across the bridge on the south side.
