You're standing at the Castelo dos Mouros, the Castle of the Moors, high on the ridge above Sintra. Have a look at those walls. They snake across the granite rocks like a stone serpent, in a double ring about 450 metres long. And check out the battlements on top. They come to a point, like little pyramids.
