You're standing on the wild coast of Northern Ireland, near Ballintoy in County Antrim. In front of you is the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. Locals say it like 'carrick-a-reed'. It links the mainland to a tiny rocky island. Go on, take a look down. The bridge spans twenty metres and hangs thirty metres above the rocks. The name comes from the Irish Carraig a' Ráid, meaning 'rock of the casting'.
