You're standing on Piazza del Santo in Padua, next to one of the most famous equestrian statues in the world. Donatello cast it in bronze in 1453. In October 2025 the statue was lifted off its pedestal for a major restoration of about eighteen months. So there's a good chance you're mostly looking at the pedestal right now.
