You're standing in front of the Palazzo Pubblico, the city hall of the City of San Marino. But it's much more than a town hall. This is where the whole republic is run. The two Captains Regent, San Marino's heads of state, are based here, along with the parliament, known as the Grand and General Council. Official state ceremonies take place here too.
