You're standing right in the historic centre of Córdoba, one of the largest old town centres in Europe. Take a look at those narrow, winding streets around you. They all curl around one building: the former Grand Mosque, which is now a cathedral. UNESCO made the Mosque–Cathedral a World Heritage Site in 1984. Ten years later, much of the old town was added too.
