You're standing at the Roman bridge of Córdoba, stretching across the Guadalquivir river. Locals simply call it the Old Bridge. Fair enough, because for two thousand years this was the only way to cross the river here. A second bridge, the San Rafael, only arrived in the mid-twentieth century.
