You're standing on the Heuneburg, a Celtic hillfort high above the Danube, right next to Hundersingen. Take a look around first. This plateau is only about three hundred by a hundred and fifty metres, but it rises a steep forty metres above the river. No wonder people were already living here in the Bronze Age, behind a ditch and a wooden wall.
