Ardvreck Castle in Highland

You're standing on the shore of Loch Assynt, in the wild northwest of the Scottish Highlands. Look at the rocky promontory reaching out into the water. That's where Ardvreck Castle stands, or what's left of it: a crumbling tower and the remains of a defensive wall. It's hard to picture a lonelier spot for a castle.
