Château de Serrant in Saint-Georges-sur-Loire

You're standing at the Château de Serrant, in the Loire Valley, about fifteen kilometres west of Angers. Take a good look at the walls. Notice the two colours of stone? Dark, russet schist with bright white tuffeau in between. That contrast is what gives the château its distinctive look.
