You're standing at Đavolja Varoš, Devil's Town, on the slopes of Radan Mountain in southern Serbia. In front of you are about two hundred earth pyramids. The locals simply call them towers. They're 2 to 15 metres tall and 4 to 6 metres wide at the base. Most of them wear a stone cap of andesite, like a little head. That cap protects the tower from wearing away any further. There are other places like this in the world, but none with as many towers, or with towers this tall.
