You're standing at the Hohle Fels, just outside the town of Schelklingen in the Swabian Jura. The name simply means 'hollow rock', and that's exactly what you see: a cave in the rock face. But don't let the plain name fool you. Some of the oldest artworks and musical instruments humans ever made came out of the ground right here.
