You're standing at Woodhenge, just north of Amesbury and about two miles from Stonehenge. There are no great stones here. Instead, you'll see short concrete posts. Each one marks a spot where a huge timber post once stood. Together they form six rings, one inside the other. Look closely and you'll notice they're not perfect circles but ovals. The long axis points to the spot on the horizon where the sun rises at midsummer.
