You're standing on Dyrhólaey, a small headland on the south coast of Iceland, close to the village of Vík. The name means something like 'door hill island'. And you can spot the door right away. Look out at the sea in front of the headland. There's a huge black arch of lava standing in the water, with an opening the waves wash straight through. Sailors used to call this place Cape Portland.
