You're standing at the site of the Uckermark camp, right next to the former Ravensbrück women's camp near Fürstenberg on the Havel. Take a look around. There isn't much left to see, and that's part of the story. Here and there, traces of foundations still lie in the ground. The crumbling buildings you might spot aren't from the war. The Russians put those up after 1945.
