You're standing at Tours Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Gatianus, the first bishop of the city. Start with the west front and its two towers, each close to seventy metres tall. You're actually looking at three styles stacked on top of each other. Down low there are still Romanesque walls. Over them runs a lacework of Flamboyant Gothic, all curls and little spires. And right at the top, in the crowns of the towers, you can spot early French Renaissance.
