You're standing in Verla, a nineteenth-century mill village on the Verlankoski rapids, in the Finnish municipality of Kouvola. It may look modest, but Verla has been on UNESCO's World Heritage List since 1996. The village shows how wood was processed, and how factory workers lived at the time.
