The story

You're standing at Sudeley Castle, in the rolling Cotswold hills, just outside the old market town of Winchcombe. Have a good look around. Part of this castle is a lived-in family home, and part of it is a ruin. That's on purpose. When the Dent family bought the place in 1837, they chose not to rebuild everything, and left some of it as a picturesque ruin.
