You're standing at Vianden Castle, high above the little Luxembourg town of Vianden. Take a look around. The castle sits on a rocky spur, about 310 metres up, with the River Our flowing some hundred metres below. Together with its outbuildings, the whole complex is around ninety metres long. It's one of the largest fortified castles west of the Rhine.
