You're standing in Potočari, just outside Srebrenica, at the memorial to the genocide of July 1995. This isn't an ordinary sight. It's a cemetery, and a place to be quiet for a while. The road between Bratunac and Srebrenica splits the site in two. On the west side lies the field of graves, across the road the old battery factory.
