You're standing at Quimper Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Corentin. Legend says he was a hermit whose strong faith so impressed King Gradlon that the king asked him to become the first bishop of Quimper. Start by looking up at the two spires of the west front. They rise seventy-five metres. On the arch between them stands a statue of that legendary King Gradlon.
