You're standing at the ruins of Raseborg Castle, in southern Finland. Have a good look around. Today the castle sits on dry land, but it was once built on a small island at the northern end of a sea bay. Ever since the ice of the last Ice Age melted away, the land here has been slowly rising. The sea pulled back, and ships found it harder and harder to reach the castle. In the end, that sealed its fate.
