You're standing at Mussenden Temple, a small round building perched on the cliffs near Castlerock, high above the Atlantic Ocean. Look down first. That long stretch of sand below is Downhill Strand. Now look at the cliff edge. Once upon a time you could drive a carriage all the way around this temple. Today it sits almost on the brink, because the sea keeps eating away at the rock. In 1997 the National Trust shored up the cliff to stop the building from tumbling over.
