Via Clodia in Blera

You're standing on the Via Clodia, an ancient Roman road, right by the little town of Blera. Take a look at the ground. Here and there you'll spot chunks of basalt, the stones that once paved this road. Around Blera, Tuscania, Vejano and Oriolo Romano, stretches like this have survived. Many stones are tilted or torn loose. But just imagine how many feet and carts rolled over them.
