Château d'Hautefort

You're standing at the Château de Hautefort, high on a rocky hill above the valley of the Auvézère, in the Périgord. Take a look at the layout. In the middle sits the main living block, flanked by two wings that each end in a round tower. It looks like a palace, and over the centuries that's exactly what it became.
