Angelokastro Castle in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

You're standing at Angelokastro, high above the northwest coast of Corfu, close to Palaiokastritsa. Take a look around first. This castle sits more than three hundred metres above the sea, on a sheer rock. On a clear day you can see Corfu town to the southeast, with the mountains of mainland Greece behind it. That's exactly why a castle was built here. Whoever held this peak could spot any ship long before it arrived.
