Chooz Nuclear Power Plant

You're standing by the Chooz nuclear power plant, in a little finger of France that pokes right into Belgium. Take a look around. The Meuse swings into a big loop here, and almost all the land inside that bend, just south of the village, belongs to the plant. That's a site of 134 hectares. Dinant is only about twenty-five kilometres away, and the Belgian border a mere four.
