You're standing at the Saalfeld Fairy Grottoes, the Feengrotten, in the German state of Thuringia. From out here you mostly see the pavilion at the entrance. But the real story is under your feet, in an old mine that's now known as the most colorful set of cave grottoes in the world. That's not just me talking: the Guinness Book of World Records has called it that since 1993.
