You're standing at the Ventas rumba, the Venta Rapid, a waterfall on the Venta River in Kuldīga. Look left, then look right. It isn't tall, but it is seriously wide: 249 metres. That makes it the widest waterfall in Europe. During the spring floods it stretches even further. The drop itself is only about two metres, depending on how much water the Venta is carrying.
