You're standing at Gordion, the ancient capital of Phrygia. Today it looks like a big mound in the landscape, next to the village of Yassıhüyük. But beneath your feet lie thousands of years of history. People were already living here in the Bronze Age, more than four thousand years ago. Since 2023 Gordion has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
