House of the Black Heads in Riga

You're standing at the House of the Blackheads, on the market square in Riga's old town. Take a look at that richly decorated façade. Does it look familiar? It was modelled on Dutch and Flemish guild houses, in the Mannerist style. Much of that ornament was added in the early seventeenth century. Some of the sculptures are younger, from the nineteenth century.
