You're standing by Larnaca Salt Lake, right next to the road to the airport. It's actually not one lake but a network of four salt lakes of different sizes. The biggest one is called Aliki. Together they cover about two square kilometres. Only the salt lake at Limassol is bigger in Cyprus.
