Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta in Cremona

You're standing in front of Cremona Cathedral, the Duomo, dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. It's the seat of the city's bishop. First, take a look at that enormous bell tower next to it. That's the Torrazzo, the symbol of Cremona and the tallest tower built in Italy before modern times. The Romanesque baptistery, another important medieval monument, completes the group.
