You're standing at the Château de Cheverny, on the edge of the Cheverny forest, not far from Blois. Take a good look at that long white façade. Notice anything? Everything is strictly symmetrical. The left side mirrors the right. The pale stone comes from around Bourré, in the valley of the Cher. The front is Baroque, while the back has an older look.
