You're standing at the Château de Ferrières, about twenty-six kilometres east of Paris. It's often called the largest and most luxurious château built in nineteenth-century France. Take a look at the square towers on every corner. The style is Neo-Renaissance, inspired by the Italian Renaissance. The house sits on a formal terrace, and beyond it stretches a park landscaped in the English manner.
