You're standing by the water in Castlebay, on the island of Barra in Scotland's Outer Hebrides. Look out into the bay. On a rocky islet right in the middle sits Kisimul Castle, the old stronghold of Clan MacNeil. The castle fills the whole islet, edge to edge. The only way out there is by boat. Fresh water was never a problem, though: the castle has its own wells.
