Story · Kilkenny Castle

You're standing at Kilkenny Castle, which has watched over this town since the Middle Ages. First, look at the big round towers on the corners. The first stone castle was square, with a tower like that at each corner. Three of the four are still here. The fourth, along with the east wall, was badly damaged in 1650 when Oliver Cromwell besieged Kilkenny. Both were later pulled down.
