You're standing at St. George's Cathedral in Timișoara, on Union Square. Locals simply call it the Roman Catholic Dome. Start with the two towers. They rise a little over thirty-five metres and, together with the entrance hall right in front of you, they define the whole façade. When the towers were finished in 1761, they were clad in wooden boards, because the court in Vienna found copper domes too expensive. Take a look at the front doors too. They're solid oak, dressed with decorative nickel grilles.
