Hacılar Mound in Burdur Merkez

You're standing at Hacılar Höyük, the Hacılar Mound, about twenty-three kilometres south of Burdur. Take a look across the plain. That bump in the landscape isn't a natural hill. It's built up from the remains of a village where people were already living some nine thousand years ago. The earliest traces go back to around 7040 BC.
