You're standing at the Natural History Museum in Tring, on Akeman Street. This building sits on the grounds of Tring Park, the former home of the Rothschild family. It went up in 1889 for one man with one big passion: Lionel Walter Rothschild, the 2nd Baron Rothschild. He collected stuffed animals, and lots of them. In 1892 he opened his private museum to the public.
