You're standing on Helvetiaplatz in Bern, in front of the Bern Historical Museum. It's the second largest history museum in Switzerland. Take a good look at the building. With its turrets and battlements, it looks like a castle straight out of the late Middle Ages. Yet it only went up in 1894. The architect, André Lambert from Neuchâtel, borrowed ideas from castles of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
