You're standing at the Aqueduct of Segovia, one of the best preserved Roman structures in Spain. Look up. At its highest point it stands more than twenty-eight metres tall, counting the foundations. And here's the remarkable part: there's no mortar between the stones. The granite blocks were cut and stacked so precisely that they've stayed put for almost two thousand years.
