You're standing at Ulm Minster. Go on, tip your head right back. That spire is just over a hundred and sixty-one and a half metres tall. From 1890 until 2025 it was the tallest church tower in the world. Only then was it overtaken, by the Sagrada Família in Barcelona, which still wasn't even finished.
