You're standing at Branicki Palace in Białystok, often called the Versailles of Poland. It didn't earn that nickname by accident. Look at the layout. A straight avenue crosses the river on a three-arched bridge and leads to a large paved forecourt. The wings curve around the courtyard of honour like a horseshoe, exactly the way the French liked it.
