You're standing at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Rouen, right in the heart of the city, opposite Square Verdrel. It's one of the most important regional art museums in France. Take a look at the building first. It was designed by architect Louis Sauvageot and built in two stages, between 1877 and 1888. A complete renovation, finished in 1994, brought the whole place up to date.
