You're standing at what's left of the Temple of Artemis, in Garitsa, a suburb of Corfu town. Not much survives. Mostly you'll see the foundations and a few scattered fragments. Yet this was once one of the largest temples of its day. It went up around 580 BC, some sources say 590, in the ancient city of Korkyra.
