You're standing at Springbank, a whisky distillery in Campbeltown, on the Kintyre peninsula in the west of Scotland. It's a family business, and one of the last survivors of a boom time. This area once had more than thirty distilleries. Only a handful remain, and Springbank is one of the oldest.
