Museum of Prehistoric Thera in Municipality of Thira

You're standing at the Museum of Prehistoric Thera, right in Fira, the main town of Santorini. Take a look around and picture a church on this very spot. The old Ypapanti Church once stood here, until the powerful Amorgos earthquake of 1956 destroyed it. The museum was later built in its place.
