You're standing at the Grande Cascade de Gavarnie, the Gavarnie Falls. Look up, all the way to the top. The water drops a total of 422 metres here. That makes it the highest waterfall in mainland France. It sits in the Cirque de Gavarnie, close to the little village of Gavarnie, in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
